THE FIERCE LOVE PROJECT

ABOUT
The Fierce Love Project was launched in November 2019. The first public event spanned three consecutive Saturdays and was an interactive, informative bonanza of ‘all things Dog’. A lot of free, helpful information was presented and opportunities to participate in any of The Fierce Love Project’s nine programs were given. Then a few months later COVID-19 hit and changed how the world worked. As everything went virtual, future plans and visions for The Fierce Love Project quickly became obsolete. What was conceived with an open heart and desire to help Pups and their People was no longer compatible with reality.

How to continue? The big question that’s taken four years to answer!

THAT WAS THEN
The pandemic impacted everyone’s lifestyle in major ways. One surprising-yet-not result of ‘sheltering in place’ was a huge surge in Dog adoptions. As wonderful as this was for the Shelters and Humane Societies and Rescue Groups and adopters and adoptees at the time, the long-term consequences turned out to be not as rosy.
When things started to settle down and the panic caused by myriad virus-caused-unknowns eased, the world opened back up a little. TwoLeggeds returned to the office or re-entered the work force and all those recently-adopted Dogs had to adapt to some major shifts in their living circumstances. Suddenly, Dogs found both their status within the FamilyPack and their daily schedules changed, many suddenly found themselves alone, deprived of the comforting companionship of their People. Once again the Shelters and Humane Societies filled up as People began surrendering their “un-housebroken”, “destructive”, “nuisances” instead of taking the time to help their Pups adjust to a new normal.

THIS IS NOW (2024 and beyond)
The Fierce Love Project, which always has been and always will be all for the Pups, will now be known as AlphaMom’s Fierce Love Project.
Rather than help Pet Parents with their already adopted Dogs, AlphaMom’s Fierce Love Project will focus on helping the People who choose to help Pups find forever homes and do so in ways that align with the causes AlphaMom feels passionate about.

The Fierce Love Project’s new focus/purpose is to provide monetary assistance in small, thoughtful, meaningful ways that will improve the lives of surrendered/abandoned Dogs waiting to be adopted, while easing the financial burden of the TwoLeggeds who stepped up to care for them.

AlphaMom’s Fierce Love Project is a totally philanthropic endeavor.

And because this is AlphaMom’s dream, the path of philanthropy parallels her personal passions. There are no pleas to be written, no Board of Directors to consult, no ‘go fund me’ pages to be set up, no social media posts tugging at heartstrings (no social media at all). Nope. Just pure and simple giving from the heart (and wallet). All it takes is a simple email request to start spreading goodwill!
